2015 “One to Six”

(Lawton, OK) There is an open call for artwork to be considered for the “One to Six” Art Purchase Award. The Lawton Arts & Humanities Council’s Program Committee serves as jury to make recommendations to the Council for this purchase of six pieces of artwork from one artist. The artwork in turn is presented to the six people who win the 2015 Cultural Awards.

The award is $900.00 for the six pieces. The theme is open but should be appropriate to the Cultural Awards. All artists are eligible with only six (6) works allowed per artists. There is no entry fee!

Past artists recipients of the “One to Six” have been Santos Rubio, Tom Biggs, Patty Ferguson, Myron Beeson, Cynthia Clay, David Gill, Katherine Liontas, Eva Yeahquo-Williams, and John Hernandez just to name a few! “One to Six” Guidelines

· Do not send actual artwork for consideration, photos only.

· Works submitted should be less than 24” in any dimension.

· Two- and three-dimensional works considered.

· All media considered including framed limited edition fine art prints or photographs.

· Media, including frame and matting, should be made of archival materials.

· Three-dimensional works should have fine art presentation.

· An area needs to be reserved (estimate 1-2” x 3-4”) for a plaque on all works.

· Interested artists should submit digital or film photo(s) of the work.

· For two-dimensional works, only one view is needed.

· For three-dimensional works, the top and side views need to be submitted.

· Each photo should have artist’s name and title of the work.

· Submit an artist statement with contact information.
