Official Rules!
COMANCHE FIRE DEPARTMENT 2016 PREDATOR HUNT RULES
– All Predators must be killed in the State of Oklahoma and abide by Oklahoma Game/Fish Regulations
– Coyote/Bobcat calling contest only. No trapping or other methods
– No catch dogs or live decoys. No hunting over bait (dead piles)
– Maximum 2 person team and must hunt from same vehicle. One stand called at a time
– Pre-register any time before Jan. 28, 2016 @1130 pm at comanchepredatorhunt.eventbrite.com. In person registration Friday Jan. 29, 2016 at the Gaynell Asbury Complex beginning at 7 pm. Registration closes at 7:45 pm for Calcutta. All registered teams will sell in a live auction after registration.
– Any team or team member found cheating, breaking rules/regulations will be disqualified and money forfeited
– Coyotes are 2 points and Bobcats 3 points.
– Winners will be decided by the most points. In the event of any tie, the tie-breaker shall be decided by heaviest animal
– Predators must respond to a call before shot. Response will be a minimum of looking toward call
– Hunt day is January 30, 2016. Official sunrise is 7:28 a.m. and sunset is 6:06 p.m. for Comanche, OK. Hunters shall hunt legal shooting times for their hunting area. Hunters may hunt 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset
– All hunters must be back at the Comanche Fire Department for check in no later than 7:45 p.m. sharp or be disqualified and money forfeited.
– Calcutta, Big Coyote, and Big Bobcat will be paid 60/40 each, after polygraph fees and F.D. takes 15%. F.D. pays the Calcutta buyer of teams winning big coyote and big bobcat $100 each.
– Both team members must be at check-in to be eligible to win. Only 3 polygraphs will be given. Only one team member per team will be tested and decided by card draw. Polygraphs will be given to teams winning first and second. The third test will be decided by card draw between third, big coyote and big bobcat. If the drawn team has already been polygraphed the next card will be drawn.
– Winners will be announced as soon as totals are calculated. Awards and monies will be paid after polygraphs. Polygraphs will be given at the conclusion of the hunt. If a team is eliminated due to the polygraph the next team with the highest points will be moved up. Hunt judge and polygraph examiner have final say.
– No illegal drugs, beer or alcohol.
– Must be present on Friday night to be eligible for drawings, door prizes, and to bid on Calcutta.
– Preregistered monies are non refundable.
