Defensive Handgun 1 aims to provide shooters with affordable, and contextual defensive shooting training. This class is for all levels of handgun shooters and new/current CHL holders. *YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A CHL TO ENROLL*
8 hours / 300 rounds
This is a 1-day course and open to 10-20 students (groups are accepted, please notify ahead). Its purpose is to educate the student on proper fundamentals and provide them the knowledge, skills, and information paramount to their continued development. This class has an increased focus on intuitive shooting concepts, designed to enhance a students effectiveness in the context of a defensive shooting situation. It is highly preferred, and recommended, that students attend this class with their personal or duty weapon.
Items to bring to class:
-Handgun in 9mm, 40cal, or 45 (recommended)
-300 rounds of factory ammunition
-Holster
-Rigid Belt
-3 or 4 magazines (more is better)
-Pen and paper
-Range appropriate clothing (weather included)
-Open mind
Please be sure to bring lunch and your preferred beverage (NO ALCOHOL!), water is provided. Camping style chair recommended.
