This event is for anyone interested in improving life outcomes for children, youth, and young adults with disabilities. Students and others with disabilities, along with their parents, families, friends, service providers, teachers, therapists and any other interested parties are invited. Presentations*** and refreshments are planned!
Transition is a lifelong process. Transition from school to adulthood is a major step in life for everyone… including youth with disabilities. It comes before we know it, so knowledge and preparation are key!
Come and learn about the many local/statewide resources, services and supports available for transition from high school and beyond, to desired life outcomes. A key to successful transition is learning about resources early, for persons with disabilities and their families! Start unlocking those doors to YOUR future today!
***Various resources and transition topics will be addressed for families/parents, professionals & students. Sessions, beginning at 5:00 p.m. will be presented by the Great Plains Transition Team, Oklahoma Family Network, students/former students with disabilities, and other groups. Assistance with applications for Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services will also be available.
