It’s time for our pre-Christmas giveaway!! At this time, we don’t have very many complete systems to give, but we’ll give what we can!! We need SATA drives, DDR 2 and 3 RAM, monitors (no old monitors that looks like TVs–white “anchor” monitors, most don’t work anymore) and USB keyboards, so if you have these and want to donate to the cause, we’d appreciate those items between now and the giveaway! He has about 50 systems that need SATA drives &/or RAM that he could use ASAP!! He can always use cans of “air” to clean out computers, too!

Things you need to know:

1) Bring a small pad of paper and pen. He gives a class on how to use the Linux Mint OS that’s installed on most of the computers he gives away. It’s a little different than windows, so he gives a “how to use it” class!

2) Please do not bring children to the giveaway. There is nobody that can watch them and nothing for them to do while waiting. Those with children at the event will be asked to get someone to pick them up.

3) You will need an ID (student ID, driver’s license, military ID–all are acceptable) and verification of income. (EBT card, unemployment check stub, pay stubs, bank statement, etc.) We don’t care about your situation, but, as a not-for-profit entity, we do have to keep records. Everything is 100% confidential.

4) We will have a few snack items and sodas that can be purchased to help raise funds for things we need! So if you have a couple of dollars, consider donating to the cause! Monetary donations are never required. Parts are either donated to us or bought with the funds we raise from the snacks/sodas at events.

5) Since we are currently limited on the number of systems we have to give away, only 1 computer per household. IF we have any left over, they will be given at the next giveaway.

We take people in the order in which they arrive, so come a little early so we can get you signed in.

If you arleady have a computer that’s giving you problems, he may be able to fix it up for you at little or no cost (depending on what’s wrong with it).
