News and Events from Lawton, OK
Join Young Professionals of Lawton for their first mentor event at 6 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the Cameron University Ross Hall Johnson Auditorium. Local leaders including Mark Rodriguez, Yvonne Landmark, Jason Hensley and Shay Hayes will participate in a panel discussion titled “Why Lawton?” and a Q&A session with the audience. The discussion will focus on why each panelist chose to attend school in Lawton, to bring their family here, to start a business or career here and why they stay in the community.
Each panelist brings a unique perspective to the conversation. Rodriguez is the owner and President of JAMARK, LLC, a company that offers janitorial services, security services, and CLEET vocational school throughout Southwest Oklahoma. Landmark opened The UPS Store in Lawton in November 2016 with her family. Hensley is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of City National Bank and Trust. Hayes owns Viridian Coffee located inside Anderson Pharmacy.
“Why Lawton?” is a great opportunity for the community to drink free coffee from Viridian and hear from individuals who have firsthand experience as business owners and leaders in Lawton. Half-price Live2Lead tickets will also be available to YPL members at the event.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it! You can watch the panel discussion live on the YPL Facebook page and comment on the post to ask the panelists questions. Visit the event page to let YPL know you are interested or coming to the discussion.
