DESCRIPTION:Mon\, 11/30/2015 – 11:20pm Judi Boland\n\n\n\n\nDUNCAN  To celebrate the start of the Christmas season\, the Chisholm Trail Art Council Live concert series presents The Hunts. \nThe Virginia-based band is made up of seven brothers and sisters who range in age from 16 to 24 and have playing music together for almost their entire lives. \n“This is the second time for them to perform in Duncan\,” said CTAC Director Darcy Reeves. “They contacted us and they said they had such a good response the last time they wanted to come back.” \nThey will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Simmons Center. \nAccording to the group’s website\, twin sisters Jenni and Jessi and their five brothers  Josh\, Jonathan\, Jordan\, Justin\, and Jamison  all learned to sing and play violin as small children and spent much of their childhood performing throughout their community. After widening their following and playing at theaters and festivals around the country  and teaching themselves to play instruments like mandolin\, piano\, ukulele\, banjo\, and drums  The Hunts started experimenting with songwriting and soon brought to life a batch of songs that reveal their sophisticated sense of melody and dreamy innocence. The Hunts hold true to a songwriting process that taps into each member’s unique strengths but remains intensely collaborative.
